      Pascack Art Tri-State Juried Exhibition

Through the years many very talented artists have resided in the Pascack Valley and their talent has not been truly recognized. In 1985 a club was formed to establish the Pascack Valley as a place where artists gather. The club was named the “Pascack Art Association”. It was meant to bring to the people of Bergen County the enormous amount of talent residing at their doorstep.
This club established itself by holding monthly meetings and having artists give a demonstration on their particular form of art. The club has held exhibits of their art in local galleries and established a once a year event called “Art in the Park”. This was a heavily attended public event; they also held parties and went on trips to museums and foreign countries. As a group they held strong with over 100 members. Today this group still exists, although the membership is much lower. They still have monthly meetings, have demonstrations in different media by a variety of artists, hold gallery exhibits and have established a yearly “Tri-State Juried Exhibition”. This is the clubs seventh Tri-State Juried Exhibition. The exhibition will be held in the month of November at the William Dean Mansion located at 122 Noyes Drive, Park Ridge, NJ. On Sunday November 10th there will be a reception and awards ceremony where artists will be present to talk with guests.
Even though the club has become smaller since its beginning there is still an enormous amount of talent within. Our monthly demonstrations take place on the second Tuesday of the month at 7:30 PM at the Washington Township municipal building. Club President Lou Spina urges the public to attend these wonderful demonstrations. You never know you may find you have a love to create art. They are free to attend and open to the public.
